Things I'm Talking About

🚫 The shutdown continues, with no end in sight.

🀝 A video I did on volunteering at Capital Area Food Bank has gotten renewed interested on TikTok this week. If you are furloughed, consider volunteering! I have a list for where to volunteer where you can do one-off shifts (it's focused on the holidays but it's relevant now too).

πŸŽ₯ Tron Ares is being shown at the newly re-opened Air & Space IMAX, and that is the best place to see futuristic or sci-fi movies, and the museum is open through Saturday.

πŸ‡ Total Wine is opening its first DC location in Friendship Heights, presumably on the 17th.

πŸ›³οΈ Captain Sandy and chief stew Hannah will be hosting a dinner cruise in DC next weekend for the Below Deck fans.

πŸͺ§ I am not the best source for news about the DC occupation. If you're looking for up to date ways to get involved, Organize DC is probably the best source of events.

Valerie
