Things I'm Talking About
- There is so much going on this weekend!
- Rock & Roll Half Marathon is Saturday morning, with lots of road closures around the center of the city.
- It's Art in Bloom Thursday through Sunday. Saturday is nearly sold out, so get tickets now If you want to go then.
- The forsythia is in bloom in my neighborhood, so I will be headed to Dumbarton Oaks to look at their hill of it, along with saucer magnolias. If you want to go for their cherry blossoms, I suggest you get tickets now for next weekend or the weekend after.
- It's Tossed & Found sale weekend, which is the giant yearly thrift sale where I get most of my clothes for the year. Friday night reception & early shopping is sold out, but it's open to the public on Saturday & Sunday for free. Be aware that this year, the Sunday discounts are contingent on how well the sale does on Saturday.
- There's a Ukrainian Easter festival where they'll have a free buffet of traditional Ukrainian food (while supplies last).
- You only have until the end of the month to ride the DC Streetcar for the last time, so go out and give it a goodbye whirl.
- Sandwich spot SUNdeVIC is closing at the end of the month too.
- CityCenter is looking for artists for their America 250 display, with a $100k budget to bring your vision it to life.
