Two alerts for Beach Drive this weekend that might affect your plans:

  • Beach Drive from Rock Creek Park to Porter Street will be closed on Saturday from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM. That means that the stretch that goes past the zoo will be closed.
  • On Sunday, the entire length of Beach Drive will be open to cars (including areas normally closed to them) for a scenic driving day.

Congratulations to A.P. for winning tickets to this weekend's DC Chocolate Festival!

Give your opinion, and check back next week for the results.

Last week, I asked: In which neighborhood would you rather spend a night out? You said:

  • U Street/14th Street (40.7%)
  • Dupont (24.1%)
  • Union Market (14.8%)
  • Georgetown (14.8%)
  • Navy Yard (5.6%)

Peek inside the beautiful homes and gardens of Capitol Hill

Step inside 11 homes never featured on the house tour before and enjoy historical character. Mostly built in the late 1800s, you'll find original details like stained glass transoms, pocket doors, and Victorian wall coverings while also learning about the history of the homes.
